We’ve settled into a nice rhythm at Harborne Kitchen, one with more freedom to dine as you wish, with more options than ever for the guest, with as much food and time as they require. It’s been liberating for the kitchen and front-of-house. We’ve learned to adapt with every table, whether that be in the restaurant, or in the bar area. In doing so, we quickly learned that some guests didn’t want to dwell; they wanted a swift dinner before moving on for the evening. It made us realise the importance of a quick and affordable menu at lunch.
That’s exactly why our express lunch menu has become such a highlight for us.
We know that not every day allows for a long, lingering lunch. Sometimes you just want something delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and served swiftly enough to fit between meetings, a catch-up with friends, or to give yourself a well-earned break in the middle of a busy day. Our express lunch is served in about an hour, and is very competitively priced at £28.50 for two courses, or £32.50 for three.
The idea is simple: take the same quality ingredients, the same care, and the same attention to detail you expect from us, and channel it into dishes that feel comforting, seasonal, and satisfying, without keeping you tied to the table for hours. It’s a relaxed way to enjoy what we do best, at a gentler price and a pace that suits your schedule.
The express lunch still feels special. There are no shortcuts at Harborne Kitchen. On our constantly evolving menu you may find a perfectly cooked piece of fish for main, a bowl of veloute for starter with our famous sourdough bread and whipped butter. The dessert that brings just the right amount of indulgence; at present we have a milk chocolate mille-feuille with raspberries. These are dishes designed to brighten your entire day without demanding your entire afternoon.
